The Xstrata Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo is the largest rodeo in the southern hemisphere, where the romance of the Australian Outback meets the grit of a mining town.

With a packed program of events - saddle bronc riding, bareback bronc riding, bull riding, rope and tie, steer wrestling, team roping, ladies barrel racing and ladies breakaway roping - this year's rodeo is set to be the best yet. Throw in a Mailman Express (horserace) Mardi Gras Street Party, Queen Quest, Best Dressed Premises and a Country Music Festival Show-rides, Fred Brophy's Boxing Tent and you've got one big party.

During Rodeo Week, Mount Isa's population swells two-fold with travellers from around the country and overseas to witness the thrills, excitement, raw power and courage that is rodeo.
